The Problem

Shopping lists scatter across notes, texts, and mental notes. Items get forgotten, duplicated, or bought unnecessarily. You need a centralized, organized approach to tracking what you need to buy.

The Workflow

Step 1: Create a Shopping List

Set up a dedicated shopping list.

Prompt to use:

Create a new list called "Shopping" in my Reminders.
Then add these items I need:
- Milk
- Bread
- Eggs
- Coffee

Example output:

Added to "Shopping":
• Milk
• Bread

Step 2: Organize by Store

Group items by where you'll buy them.

Prompt to use:

Look at my shopping list and organize items by store:
- Grocery store items
- Hardware store items
- Pharmacy items
Add notes to each item with the store category.

Step 3: Add Items from Recipes

Extract ingredients from a recipe.

Prompt to use:

I'm making pasta carbonara this weekend. Add any
ingredients I might need to my shopping list:
- Spaghetti
- Pancetta
- Eggs
- Parmesan
- Black pepper

Step 4: Check What's Already Bought

Review and clean up completed items.

Prompt to use:

Show me what's on my shopping list. Which items have
I already completed? Remove completed items and tell
me what's still left to buy.

Step 5: Set a Shopping Reminder

Schedule time to shop.

Prompt to use:

Create a reminder for Saturday at 10 AM to
"Go grocery shopping" with a note listing
all current items on my shopping list.

Expected Result

An organized shopping list grouped by store with scheduled shopping time and no duplicate or forgotten items.
