These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Macuse, a macOS desktop application that provides MCP (Model Context Protocol) server functionality for AI integrations (“Software”). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Usage

You may use Macuse for personal and commercial purposes, subject to the following restrictions:

  • You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
  • You may not modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software
  • You may not distribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Software without explicit permission
  • You may not use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • You may not bypass or circumvent any usage limitations or licensing mechanisms

License Types

Free Tier: Limited to 50 MCP tool calls total for personal use.

Premium License: Unlimited usage for both personal and commercial purposes, subject to valid one-time license purchase.

Intellectual Property

Macuse and all related documentation, trademarks, and intellectual property are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except for the limited license to use the Software as described herein.

You retain ownership of any data you create, access, or process through the Software, including your calendar events, notes, reminders, and other personal information.

macOS Integration and Permissions

By using Macuse, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Software requires various macOS permissions (Accessibility, Calendar, Reminders, Full Disk Access) to function properly
  • You are responsible for granting and managing these permissions through macOS System Preferences
  • The Software accesses your local macOS data only as necessary to provide its functionality
  • You use the Software’s integration capabilities at your own risk and discretion

Privacy

Macuse values your privacy. Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Software, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

You acknowledge that:

  • The Software may have bugs, errors, or limitations
  • macOS system updates may affect Software functionality
  • AI integrations and MCP server functionality may not always work as expected
  • We cannot guarantee compatibility with all macOS versions or third-party applications

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE LICENSE.

Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may terminate your license at any time by uninstalling the Software and ceasing all use. We may terminate your license immediately if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Software ceases immediately
  • You must delete all copies of the Software in your possession
  • All data stored locally by the Software may be retained or deleted at your discretion

Payment Terms

For premium licenses:

  • License fees are one-time payments
  • Premium licenses are perpetual and do not expire
  • No recurring charges or subscription fees
  • We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase, no questions asked
  • Refund requests must be submitted via email within 7 days of purchase

Updates and Support

We may provide updates to the Software at our discretion. Updates may add, modify, or remove features. You are not required to install updates, but we recommend doing so for security and functionality improvements.

Technical support is provided on a best-effort basis for all users.

Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms. Your continued use of the Software after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes through the Software or other appropriate means.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Software and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
